Michele Molotsky

Main Street Director, Logan Circle

Michele grew up in New York, moved to the District in the 1980s with her family, moved to California and moved back to DC in 2001. She’s lived in Logan Circle since then in an apartment listed in Best Addresses!

Michele has a degree in Industrial and Labor Relations from Cornell University and she started a career as a union organizer. The majority of her work focused on better pay and working conditions for registered nurses.

After working for several unions, Michele started working for local elected officials first in Oakland, California and then in Washington DC. Michele worked in constituent services and loved helping people resolve problems and bringing residents together to improve their neighborhoods. Much of Michele’s work was in Ward 2 where Logan Circle is located.

Before joining District Bridges, Michele worked for Think Local First DC, a nonprofit organization supporting local and independently-owned businesses. This work gives her insights into the needs of business owners on the 14th Street corridor – that and a keen interest in shopping and eating out.

Michele’s hobbies include triathlons and knitting.
