Kay Pierson

Main Street Manager, Lower Georgia Ave

Ms. Pierson is the Main Street Manager for District Bridges Lower Georgia Avenue. She has served as President of the Brightwood Business Alliance, providing technical assistance to businesses in the Brightwood community. Prior to that, she served as Director of the Community Reinvestment Division at the United Planning Organization (UPO), where she oversaw housing, tax preparation and transitional homeless services, along with the small business and community revitalization efforts of UPO. Her career of over 35 years of management experience, has included managing a law firm, which specialized in real estate and business; heading business development consulting firm; and serving as general counsel to the Greater Washington Mutual Housing Association. She currently is President of the Standing Committee for the Episcopal Diocese of Washington; and Vice-President of the Board of Directors for the Women of Color in Community Development.
