District Bridges is helping to coordinate the Shop the Red Line campaign to support the main streets & businesses on WMATA’s red line to make it easy to shop local and indulge in holiday cheer. On December 3 & 10, 2022, five neighborhoods adjacent to WMATA’s red line are hosting holiday markets and events – mark your calendars for the amazing events below!

Start your day in Tenleytown for the Tenley WinterFest Winter Market (11AM-5PM, 4748 Wisconsin Avenue NW)

Check everyone off your holiday giving list and shop more than two dozen local artisans offering unique gifts, jewelry and accessories, home and holiday decor, bath and beauty products, specialty foods, and more. Enjoy songs of the season while you shop as American University a cappella ensemble On a Sensual Note performs at 1 pm. The Winter Market is part of the 11th annual Tenley WinterFest, produced by Tenleytown Main Street, with free, festive events for all ages November 26 through December 3. More details HERE.

Start your day with Van Ness Main Street’s 7th Annual Holiday Pop Up Market! (11AM-4PM)

The Market will welcome more than 40 artists and artisans from the entire region. Enjoy returning favorites plus new, creative shopping opportunities, as well as an Ice Crew Meet and Greet with the Ice Queen, Ice Princess, Ice Prince, and Snow Man. From there take the metro down to Cleveland Park, where the 2nd Cleveland Park Winter Market (2PM-7PM, 3400 block of Connecticut Ave NW)

The Winter Market will pop up in the Cleveland Park Service Lane. The Celestial Trio will present a selection of traditional holiday music and carols, including the opportunity to pick favorites.
