Summer is here, which means it’s time to grab your quarantine buddy and head to one of Columbia Heights Main Street’s many patios. Not sure which restaurants are open? Queen’s English (3410 11th St NW)
Jump-start patio season with Queen’s English. Their take on modern Hong Kong cuisine and refreshing cocktails are sure to please.
They’re open Thursdays 5-8pm, Fridays and Saturdays 5-9pm, and Sundays 5-7:30pm for patio service, weather permitting.
The Thirsty Crow DC (1400 Irving St NW)
Haven’t had the opportunity to try The Thirsty Crow? Now’s your chance! Occupying the old Meridian Pint space, The Thirsty Crow is serving up “Malaysian hawker-inspired fares” and has over 20 beers and wine on draft. Their patio is open 5-10pm Tuesday through Saturday. Lou’s City Bar (1400 Irving St NW)
Lou’s City Bar’s massive patio is calling your name! Head on over to the 14th Street sports bar for draft beers, wings, and more Thursdays – Saturdays between 2pm and 8pm, Sundays 2pm and 7pm.
The Wonderland Ballroom (1101 Kenyon St NW)
After a long few months of being closed, The Wonderland Ballroom is back at it with patio service. Try your hand at their mystery shots, aptly named “shot-in-the-dark,” or treat yourself to any dish on their classic dive menu. Wonderland’s patio is open Monday to Friday 4pm-12am, and open for brunch Saturday and Sunday from 11am to midnight.
Room 11 (3234 11th St NW)
Room 11’s Parisian-style patio is up and running every Wednesday through Sunday, 5-9pm, weather permitting. No need to make a reservation, you can now walk up and request a table.
The Airedale (3605 14th St NW)
Both outdoor patios at the Airedale are open for service Tuesday through Sunday, noon to 9pm. Plan your meal ahead of time by checking out their patio menu online at www.airedaledc.com
Zeba Bar (3423 14th St NW)
Zeba Bar is slinging drinks on their patio, and they have free face masks for anyone who forgot theirs. They are not offering hookah service at this time due to health code restrictions. Check out their social media for updates and hours @ZebaBar14th.
Odd Provisions (3301 11th St NW)
11th Street’s one-stop-shop is open every day for beer, wine, grab-n-go bites, flowers, and more. Relax on their patio after your shopping spree from 11am-8pm every Monday, Tuesday, and Friday. They’re also open 12-8pm Wednesdays and Thursdays, and 10am-8pm Saturdays and Sundays.
El Chucho (3313 11th St NW)
In the mood for tacos and margaritas? El Chucho is now taking reservations for 1.5 hours slots on their rooftop dining area. You can make your reservation here.
Red Rocks (1036 PARK RD., NW)
Treat yourself to a patio dinner of pizza and wine at Red Rocks. They’re open Monday 4pm – 10pm, Tuesday-Thursday 12pm – 10pm, Friday 12pm – 11pm, Saturday 11am – 11pm, and Sunday 11am-10pm.
